Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of hospital executives, physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team.

Statement of Need/Program Overview
This conference is designed for hospital administrators and staff, offering a broad range of continuing education focused on enhancing hospital operations and performance.

Annual Conference Learning Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate how structural organization changes can reduce the rates of caregiver burnout.
  2. Define the meaning of burnout and resiliency.
  3. Identify best practices to address workforce burnout.
  4. Identify ways that telementoring can be used to support frontline staff in rural areas.
  5. Discuss strategies to implement to alleviate nurse burnout.
  6. Review crisis standards of care and how these impact clinical decision making, policies and procedures.
  7. Identify how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted crisis standards of care.
  8. Describe the emotional impact that crisis standards of care implementation has on frontline health care workers.

Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by AXIS Medical Education and The Texas Hospital Association. AXIS Medical Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

ACHE Qualified Education

The Texas Hospital Association is authorized to award 2.75 (pre-conference Rural Health Care Workshop) and 7.5 (THA 2022 Annual Conference and Expo) hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.

Credit Designation for Accountancy Continuing Education

Public Accountancy CPE (NASBA-CPE)

The Texas Hospital Association has registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the board as to the quality of the program. This course may be submitted to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for up to 3.4 (pre-conference Rural Health Care Workshop) and 9.2 (THA 2022 Annual Conference and Expo) contact hours.

Credit Designation for Minimum Continuing Legal Education
This course is being submitted for minimum continuing legal education to the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE for up to 1.5 hours.

The Texas Hospital Association has registered with the Texas State Board of Legal Specialization to meet the requirements of the continuing professional education rules covering maintenance of attendance records, retention or program outlines, qualifications of instructors, program content, physical facilities and length of class hours. This registration agreement does not constitute an endorsement by the board as to the quality of the program or its contribution to the professional competence of the licensee.

Certified Healthcare Trustees Education
The Texas Healthcare Trustees designates this continuing certified healthcare trustee education activity for up to 2.75 (Rural Health Care Workshop) and 7.5 (THA 2022 Annual Conference and Expo) contact hour(s). For more information about the CHT program, please contact THT at 512-465-1071.
